Nutrition plays a very vital role at all times in life. And rightly so, it does in pregnancy too. Along with providing sufficient nutrients to the motherβs body, sufficient nutrients should reach the growing offspring as well. It also ensures lesser risk of developing diseases later in life (especially chronic non-communicable diseases). This article aims to review nutritional requirements during pregnancy and focus on the consequences of improper nutritional intake.
